CARE IN CAERPHILLY
The impulse behind our work is our sense of our shared humanity. Concepts such as ‘professionalism’ are useful to underpin our humanity but are not a replacement for it.
Common decency means that we are compassionate when someone experiences misfortune, we congratulate people on their achievements, we forgive them their mistakes and treat others as we would wish to be treated.
We liberate our staff to put their caring nature, intelligence and common sense into their work so that care is delivered thoughtfully, sensibly and with a smile!
People who only see the ‘problem’ tend not to see ‘possibilities’.
We, however, relish the fact that all people, providing or receiving care, have skills, strengths and personal qualities that can be acknowledged, developed and celebrated!
